The Modular Display System consists of two basic elements-the node & the tube. A number of different models are available depending on criteria, such as load burden, design, place & cost, etc.
The node has 18 squares to create 18 threaded holes for practical use.
Therefore, 45o, 60o, 90o, 135o & 180o can be achieved.
The tubes have threaded ends on both side to introduce tensile or forces into the nodes. The length of tube is designated by the standard measure from node axis to node axis.
The length of tubes increase in geometrical progression by the factor 2, i.e.
250mm x √2 = 353mm | 707mm x √2 = 1000mm |
353mm x √2 = 500mm | 1000mm x √2 = 1414mm |
500mm x √2 = 707mm | 1414mm x √2 = 2000mm |
By following the rule, a wide variety of tube length can be obtained, In this way, custom-made tube length are available without difficulty to meet any designing needs.
Take the cube for example, the angles of the node axes to each other are the same as the angles of the plane diagonals i.e. 45o, 60o, 90o.
